Neurological Council of WA
Complex care, made clear: streamlined access, trusted design, and self-managed referrals for WA neurological support.
Creating seamless connections
for families seeking neurological care
The Neurological Council of WA recognized an opportunity to transform how Western Australians connect with vital neurological support services. As the only neurological body in WA, they saw the potential to create a digital experience that empowers three key audiences: people with newly diagnosed neurological conditions, their carers, and referring healthcare professionals. The goal was clear: enable people with conditions from stroke to muscular dystrophy to remain in their homes with proper support.
The organisation identified the chance to modernise their approach to community service. With 60-70 referrals arriving monthly through traditional channels, they envisioned a streamlined digital platform that would enhance their ability to connect people with the right support at the right time. This presented an opportunity to build trust through professional presentation while simplifying complex care pathways.
Lab 385 partnered with NCWA to realize this vision, focusing on creating a welcoming digital environment that reduces complexity for families navigating new diagnoses. The transformation aimed to establish NCWA as a beacon of clarity and support in the neurological care landscape.
